About Evans, GA - Happy to be your hometown Heating & Air Conditioning Contractor!

Found in Columbia County, Georgia, Evans is an affluent suburb of Augusta. This community is home to about 29,000 residents and has been experiencing substantial growth over the last several years. While Appling holds the de jure designation for county seat, Evans serves as the de facto seat and houses the Columbia County Courthouse Annex and the Government Center. The Columbia County Public School System serves this community, and there are four high schools in which older students can attend: Evans High School, Grovetown High School, Greenbrier High School, and Lakeside High School.

Evans is home to a variety of notable attractions. The Bartram Trail Golf Club is found in this community, as are three courses with the Champions Retreat Golf Club. The Vineyard Wine Market is a great place to check out some local wines, while visitors looking to get a bargain might want to check out Uptown Cheapskate. Other notable attractions in the community include Cole Watkins Tours and the Columbia County Amphitheater.

The weather in Evans is one reason that this community is growing and becoming increasingly popular. Summer offers the hottest of conditions, with temperatures reaching the mid-90s. However, since the area is known for its high humidity levels, it will often feel even warmer, and residents will need to have a cool retreat in order to beat the heat. A central air conditioning unit will likely do the trick.

Although Evans, GA is found within a humid subtropical climate zone, this doesn’t mean that the climate is hot year-round. In fact, winter weather can see lows that fall to the 30s, making it crucial that residents have access to somewhere warm to stay, especially at night. Without a heat pump or furnace in place, interior conditions could become dangerously cold, and pipes and plumbing could also be at risk of severe damage due to freezing.
